Hollywood Professional School was a private school in Hollywood, California. Initially established as a music conservatory by pianist Gladys T. Littell in 1921 under the name Hollywood Conservatory of Music and Arts , [1] the school quickly expanded its offerings into theater and dance as well as music.

Her office is listed as 5400-5406 Hollywood Boulevard, and the school's telephone number was HIllside 9922. Later ads list the school phone numbers as HOllywood 4-9923 and 4-9922. In 1952, Mrs. Mann is to be found in a huge ad endorsing Paper-Mate pens. "Teachers-Educators Approve Paper-Mate Pen!, the ad screams.
And so, the Hollywood Professional School came into being, offering classes to grades K through 12. The two-story building was located on the east end of Hollywood Boulevard, about a mile northeast of Paramount Studios, and even closer to the Gower Gulch area of Sunset (which formerly housed such studios as Warner Bros and Columbia.)
This was a high school for kids in show business and was also known as the “Hollywood Conservatory of Music and Art“. Many famous actors and musicians and their children attended this old school since it opened its doors in 1925 and closed in 1984.
The Hollywood Professional School, located at 5400 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, was a private school for working children in the entertainment business which ran from 1935-1984. It offered classes only in the mornings so that students could work in the afternoons.
