I am now currently working on developing my next films, and potentially will be filming my next at the end of the year or early 2020. 4 mar 2020 · Homeless Ashes premiered at Raindance Film Festival in 2019. by Rose Dymock. Rose is a budding film critic, who graduated from the University of Liverpool with an MRes in Film Studies. She’s currently living back home in the Black Country in the West Midlands, juggling working full time and trying to break into criticism.
Based on stories from real homeless people Homeless Ashes tells the tale of Frankie, a bright young boy who runs away from an abusive father. He falls-in with petty criminals and junkies as well as good souls and honest friends including Gavin (Jason Flemyng) who runs the fairground burger van and larger-than-life Chico (Lew Temple), but living on the streets is tough and takes it toll.
Homeless Ashes has now received a cinematic release this week and so catch it whilst you can. I had forgotten just how beautifully poignant the film is after my first viewing at the Raindance Film Festival. It is a powerful message providing a voice to the homeless and is a must see! READ MORE
