"Homework" is a song by Kim Petras released on February 7th, 2019 along with other two singles, "If U Think About Me..." and "1,2,3 dayz up". The song is a part of Kim's first project and unnofficial body of work Era 1.
Kim did an acoustic performance of the song on July 2018, months before the release of the song.
The song is about growing apart from someone that you really like, but promessing you'll never forget them. Often with the rise of fame, artists, celebrities, and people who gain significant media attention over time tend to leave their past friends and connections.
Kim Petras states that her experiences and memories with her friend from growing up won’t be forgotten, even with money, growing success and a career in Los Angeles.
