Tue, Feb 24, 1998. Former comedy club owner Ian Lyons eloped with country girl Lisa, but now they return to her home town of Snowle where Ian's in-laws are less than friendly. Ian decides to buy the photography business of the retiring Mr. Webb and strive to survive in this strange, hostile new world. 6.7/10 (15)
An incredibly subtle, persuasive comedy (from the writer of Men Behaving Badly!!) that has more charm (particularly in scenes between Charlotte Coleman and Dylan Moran) than Hugh Grant's grin. The supporting cast are one of the best ensembles ever in a British comedy from Frank Finlay to Emma Chambers.
