Most of the songs are off of old Mobb Deep, Nas, Foxy Brown, Screwball, 41st Side, QB Finest, and unrelased Cormega albums and a good deal of them only take Cormega's verse and cut out the other rappers (with the exception of the Mobb Deep Songs).

Cormega rose to fame in the mid-90s as an original member of The Firm crew, along with Nas, AZ and Foxy Brown, appearing on the song "Affirmative Action" from the Nas album It Was Written. After being booted from the group, Cormega signed a record deal with Def Jam Records, and recorded The Testament.

It’s such a joy to see Cormega dropping after all these years. He hasn’t missed a step, and has really matured in his subject matter tho I love the street shit too. This dude has been through so much since age 4 seeing his mom shot to being in jail to seeing his deal fall apart. Great to have him back and getting respect.
