I'm About to Come Alive is the debut studio album by American country music singer David Nail. It was released on August 18, 2009 via MCA Nashville. The album, produced by Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke, includes the singles " I'm About to Come Alive ," "Red Light" and " Turning Home ."
Obviously, this song is about postmortem zombification. The departed wishes for his girlfriend to heed his warning when he whines, "I'm about to come alive", alerting her that soon he will rise from his earthen grave and become a shambling undead, cursed with a quenchless urge to feast upon the brains of the living.
