14 mag 2024 · One thing A Field in England does share with the period is that, in Hobbes’ words, it is, ‘nasty, poor, brutish, and short’. Nasty, as war is, and this film does not shy away from gruesome detail. Poor, as it was done on a fairly tight budget. Brutish because some scenes are gory, and short as it is only 90 minutes long.
