In June 2004 the Museu do Fado presented "Amália, Gostava de Ser Quem Era", an exhibition recalling the fado singer which remained open to the public for one year.
Amália Rodrigues (born in Lisbon, July 23rd, 1920 - died Lisbon, October 6, 1999) was a Portuguese singer and actress. Rodrigues was considered one of the greatest ever singers of fado. Her younger sister Celeste Rodrigues was also a successful Fado singer.
