26 gen 2022 · I just updated to Windows 11 from Windows 10 and noticed that the taskbar icons are larger, which I do not like. There doesn't seem to be an option to make them smaller or, at least, I can't find one. Is there a way to change their size? Thanks, Daffy D

Drag them to the left to where you want them positioned. Hold the Ctrl button and roll the mouse wheel slowly forward or back to the size you want. Or use the + or - buttons.

Save that setting, then restart File Explorer and check if setting the view to large or extra large icons shows thumbnails.
7 set 2022 · I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 a few months ago, and ever since I've been having a problem where the icons disappear from the taskbar. It happens while I'm using the laptop as well as when it comes out of hibernation.
12 mag 2020 · The icons on my desktop were previously much closer together than they now are, and I cannot seem to get them back the way they were. The icon size is the same as it has always been, and I have always had the grid option turned on, but there are now giant gaps between and below the icons which, while not causing any problems, is just a tad irritating.
6 ott 2023 · For the meantime, I would recommend you try to Restart File Explorer. Because Sometimes a glitch with File Explorer can cause icons to disappear. To restart File Explorer, follow the steps below: 1. press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager. 2. Find Windows Explorer in the list of processes and right-click it. 3. Select Restart.
