23 feb 2021 · Venerable Ignatius Spencer was born into one of the wealthiest and most influential families in England. He was educated at Eton and Cambridge and eventually ordained an Anglican priest. However in January 1830, he was received into the Catholic Church and after a course of studies in Rome, was ordained in 1832 and returned to work in England.
