"Iljimae" è un drama storico sudcoreano del 2008 originariamente andato in onda sulla SBS ed è stato prodotto da Lee Yong Suk. Si è vagamente basato su un fumetto di Ko Yung Woo, ma i diritti ufficiali del fumetto originale andarono alla MBC, che trasmise la propria versione della storia nel 2009.

While searching for a special design pattern etched on the sword that took his father's life, Il Ji Mae begins his quest of taking revenge against evildoers. At 8-years-old, Yong witnesses his father's murder. This leads to Soe Dol adopting Yong and marks the beginning of Yong's life as a ruffian.
21 mag 2008 · Set during the Joseon Dynasty, Yong acted as a hooligan in the marketplace by day but at night he was a thief who robbed corrupted government officials to give to the poor. After each robbery, he left behind a painting depicting a plum tree branch to make his mark and was thus named Iljimae.
Il Ji-Mae: The Phantom Thief. Ryung che di giorno è uno scapestrato buono a nulla, di notte si trasforma in Iljimae, un abilissimo ladro gentiluomo che deruba i ricchi funzionari corrotti per dare ai poveri. Come segno distintivo lascia sempre sul luogo del furto un rametto di susino.
