Marvin Frederick Hamlisch (June 2, 1944 – August 6, 2012) was an American composer and conductor. He is one of few people to win Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards, a feat dubbed the "EGOT". He and composer Richard Rodgers are the only people to have won those prizes and a Pulitzer Prize ("PEGOT"). [1] Early life.

The main theme, "The Informant," is a piano-led meditation very much in the style of David Raksin 's theme for Laura, lush and melodic and wistful.

2 nov 2009 · Soderbergh come al solito ri-mastica il (suo) cinema, quasi intuendo che la neutralità formale del suo sussurrato sperimentalismo non possa fare a meno di dare ampio margine di esibizionismo alla partitura di Hamlisch. E quest’ultimo raccoglie il dono soderberghiano divertendosi a elaborare di grado in grado tutte le scale cromatiche e acustiche del suo repertorio
