- Un filone di tutto rispetto. Come abbiamo già detto nell'introduzione, Injustice fa parte della serie dei DC Universe Original Animated Movies, inaugurata nel 2007 e destinata a un pubblico più maturo e conoscitore dei fumetti originali, tramite adattamenti di storyline particolarmente significative come la morte di Superman o i racconti di Batman a cura di Frank Miller.
- La fonte. Questo film era particolarmente atteso dai fan per via del materiale di base: Injustice: Gods Among Us, il videogioco uscito nel 2013 che immagina un universo alternativo dove Superman, distrutto dal dolore dopo aver accidentalmente ucciso Lois Lane tramite manipolazioni del Joker, diventa un tiranno e adotta metodi sempre più brutali per assicurare la giustizia.
- Le deviazioni. Pur mantenendo l'idea di base, il film non è un adattamento completamente fedele, anche per esigenze narrative (la durata è di soli 80 minuti, il che esige la semplificazione/omissione di alcuni elementi).
- Il tono. Mentre la stragrande maggioranza dei film DC, che siano live-action o animati, opta per un visto PG-13 negli Stati Uniti, il che rende la visione consigliata dai 13 anni in su, questo fa parte del gruppo a cui è stato concesso il visto R, ossia il divieto ai minori di 17 anni senza la supervisione di un adulto.
