James John McArdle (b. Apr 3, 1989) is a Scottish actor from Glasgow who famously procured the Ian Charleson Award for his role as Mikhail Platonov in Platonov and was nominated for an Olivier Award for portraying Louis Ironson in Angels in America.
James McArdle’s intimidating reputation precedes him. It’s not that in person there’s anything intimidating about the Glaswegian actor: indeed, he is warm, witty and thoughtful.
