A statue of General Janko Vukotić stands in a small city park in Mojkovac. Before World War I, he served several times as minister of defence and prime minister of the Kingdom of Montenegro. As a soldier, he commanded the Montenegrin army during the First and Second Balkan Wars and later during the First World War.
