Jeremy Philip Northam (born 1 December 1961) is an English actor. Northam has featured in notable films including Emma, An Ideal Husband, Gosford Park, The Winslow Boy and Enigma. In television, he also played Thomas More in the Showtime series The Tudors and from 2016 to 2017 he appeared as Anthony Eden in the Netflix series The Crown.
