Jerry McGeorge (born October 22, 1945, Cincinnati, Ohio, United States) came to prominence in late 1965 as an American guitarist with the Chicago rock band The Shadows of Knight. [1] . In December, guitarist Jerry McGeorge took the place of Norm Gotsch just before the band entered the recording studio to lay down "Gloria", along with a B-side called "Dark Side". Record company executives now realized that the band had the same name as the back up group for English rocker Cliff Richard and a new moniker would have to be chosen.

Eight weeks after the group's relocation, bassist Jerry McGeorge made his final appearance with H. P. Lovecraft at the Los Angeles Kaleidoscope on April 12–14, 1968. He was replaced by Jeffrey Boyan, who had previously been a member of the Chicago band Saturday's Children.
