Il Jesus College è uno dei colleges costituenti l'Università di Oxford. Fondata nel 1571 da Elisabetta I d'Inghilterra anche grazie all'aiuto dell'avvocato gallese Hugh Price, era fortemente predisposto ad accogliere gli studenti di teologia e quelli provenienti comunque dal Galles, ma col tempo questa peculiarità è progressivamente venuta meno.
Founded in 1571, the College retains many of its original features – including our beautiful Elizabethan dining hall (below), Chapel, and Principal’s Lodgings. Jesus College was one of the first men’s colleges to admit women, in 1974, but nowadays, our student intake is evenly balanced between men and women.
