Jill Janette Freda Belch OBE FRSE (born 22 October 1954) is a Scottish academic working in the field of vascular medicine. Biography. Belch was born in Glasgow on 22 October 1954 to Janetta Finnie Murdoch and Alexander Ross Belch.
Professor Belch is Chair or former Chair of trial steering committees for 19 international multicentre clinical trials of new treatments for vascular disease, and she has authored over 400 publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Biography. Professor Belch graduated as a Doctor from the University of Glasgow (MBChB), becoming a Lecturer within the University Department of Medicine, where she completed her Research MD degree (Honours, winner of Belahouston Gold Medal) in 1987.
