  2. John Perceval, 2nd Earl of Egmont PC FRS (24 [1] or 25 [2] February 1711 – 4 December 1770) was a British politician, political pamphleteer, and genealogist who served as First Lord of the Admiralty. Of Anglo-Irish background, he sat in both the Irish and British Parliaments.

  3. John Perceval, 2nd earl of Egmont was an eccentric British politician and pamphleteer, a confidant of George III. Perceval sat in the Irish House of Commons from 1731 to 1748, when he succeeded to his father’s earldom in the Irish peerage. His interests, however, were in British politics.
