Juniper. Sam (17), een rebelse depressieve tiener, moet noodgedwongen voor zijn vervreemde oma Ruth zorgen. Gebonden aan haar rolstoel en overspoeld door herinneringen aan haar tijd als oorlogsfotografe grijpt ze naar de fles. Langzaam maar zeker komen de twee ondanks Ruth’s woede-uitbarstingen en hun moeilijke karakters dichter tot elkaar.

Sam (17) has been on a self-destructive spiral that could lead to his death. He returns home from boarding school to find his wheelchair-bound English grandmother, Ruth has moved in.
