The group's early line-up consisted of Ari Up (Ariane Forster) and Palmolive (a.k.a. Paloma Romero, who played briefly with Spizzenergi and later left to join the Raincoats), with Viv Albertine and Tessa Pollitt replacing founding members Kate Korus and Suzy Gutsy.

Kate Korus formò i the Mo-dettes nel 1979. The original lineup of the The Slits consisted of Ari Up ( Arianna Forster) on lead vocals, Kate Korus on guitar, Suzy Gutsy on bass and Paloma Romero on drums. Korus and Gutsy were replaced early on by Tessa Pollitt on bass and Viv Albertine on guitar.

15 apr 2018 · Guitarist Kate Korus hailed from an early lineup of The Slits. Drummer June Kingston went on to play behind Fun Boy Three , Everything but the Girl , and sing backup for Big Country , Microdisney , and The Woodentops .
