Kathleen McCartney (born 1956) is an American academic administrator, who served as the 11th president of Smith College. She took office as Smith's president in June 2013. Smith College, located in Northampton, Massachusetts, is a liberal arts college and one of the Seven Sisters colleges.

Kathleen McCartney was the 11th president of Smith College. A summa cum laude graduate of Tufts. University, she earned master’s and doctoral degrees in psychology from Yale University. Since assuming the presidency in July 2013, McCartney has focused on outreach to the Smith.
