They are both comparatively very young to parliament, and both have risen up the ranks of their respective parties very quickly.

Keir Starmer is about to be elected as prime minister entirely because we have a two party system and one of them just shit the bed for an entire 12 years. Not because of any personal qualities, political vision or good ideas; solely because Labour is the other party, to be elected whenever the Conservatives have had their turn on the gravy train.
Labour and Starmer's response's have been very careful to specifically say that he didn't, but he's never given a straight answer on whether any of his colleagues did. He would word it like this regardless of whether he's aware of an MP doing it or not.
