Swanley has had a town council since 1974, owning some 150 acres of parks and recreation areas. The town is also administered by Sevenoaks District and Kent County Council. Kent County, area 2,458 km 2 (949 sq mi) is a historic county in the Canadian province of Ontario. The county was created in 1792 and named by John Graves Simcoe in honour of the English County . The county is in an alluvial plain between Lake St. Clair , and Lake Erie , watered by two navigable streams , the Thames River and the Sydenham River .
On 1 April 1998, the existing local government districts of Rochester-upon-Medway and Gillingham were abolished under the local government review and merged to become the new unitary authority of Medway, administratively independent from Kent County Council; though, Medway is still within the Kent ceremonial county and Lieutenancy Area, as this has not been amended.

Kent Lee is an American politician serving as a member of the San Diego City Council. He represents the 6th District in the San Diego City Council, which encompasses the neighborhoods of Miramar, Mira Mesa, and parts of Rancho Peñasquitos. [1] He assumed office in December 2022, replacing termed-out city council member Chris Cate.
Although the school has its own admissions procedure, it does coordinate with Kent County Council for admissions. St John's Catholic Comprehensive School offers GCSEs , BTECs and OCR Nationals as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A Levels and further BTECs.
