Kevin O'Donovan McClory (8 Juni 1924 – 20 November 2006) adalah seorang penulis naskah, produser film, dan sutradara film asal Irlandia. The Blofeld/SPECTRE idea came from Kevin McClory himself, when they've co-wrote the story, McClory proposed that idea. Back then, what villains that Fleming had in his books are SMERSH, but Fleming decided to change it to SPECTRE when Thunderball happened. So, I think he also had a reason.
When Kevin McClory read the books he could see why. James Bond was a rather austere humourless character, trudging around London in a bowler hat. But Kevin saw something in the character.
