4 mar 2022 · According to a Feb. 28, 2022, report from Agroportal24h, the Kharkiv Tractor Plant, a manufacturer of wheeled and track-type tractors, has been destroyed and “engulfed in fire” by “massive shelling” from Russian forces in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv.
For decades, the products manufactured by ChTS were sold on a large scale in the Soviet Union and in many countries in Europe, Asia and even Africa. Built in the late 1920s and early 1930s, the district of Novy Kharkiv, designed as a so-called Sozgorod, is situated around the Kharkiv tractor factory.
