Silent. English intertitles. With Our King and Queen Through India (1912) is a British documentary film. The film is silent and made in the Kinemacolor additive color process. The film records the 12 December 1911 celebrations in India which marked the coronation of George V and Mary of Teck and their proclamation as Emperor and Empress of India.

25 mag 2021 · The Maharaja spent months preparing for the King’s visit, cutting roads for miles through the jungle. The Maharaja had 645 elephants ready for the hunting expedition. Records from the time tell how the King shot one tiger, wounding it badly, before a second tiger was killed by the King with a ‘snap-shot through the neck as if he had been a rabbit’.
One of King’s most memorable experiences was residing at Mani Bhaven, Gandhi’s Bombay residence. He noted in the guestbook: “To have the opportunity of sleeping in the house where Gandhiji slept is really an experience I will never forget” (Papers 5:134).
