Akwasi Addo Alfred Kwarteng (born 26 May 1975) is a British politician who served as Chancellor of the Exchequer from 6 September to 14 October 2022 under Prime Minister Liz Truss and as Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from 2021 to 2022 under Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
