Kyril, Prince of Preslav, Duke in Saxony [1] (born 11 July 1964), also known as Kyril of Saxe-Coburg, is the second son of Simeon II and Margarita Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. His father, Simeon, served as Tsar of Bulgaria from 1943 to 1946 and Prime Minister of Bulgaria from 2001 to 2005.

Patriarch Cyril (Bulgarian: Патриарх Кирил, secular name Konstantin Markov Konstantinov, Bulgarian: Константин Марков Константинов; January 3, 1901 – March 7, 1971), was the first Patriarch of the restored Bulgarian Patriarchate.
At the end of August and the beginning of September, 1944, Prince Kyril undertook his last attempt to salvage Bulgaria. He appointed Konstantin Mouraviev Prime Minister and signed the declaration of war on Germany. A day before that act, the Soviet Union declared war on the Kingdom.
