Recensione di Léon, dalla lista 500 Film da Vedere Prima di Morire. Un punto di arrivo per Luc Besson, regista transalpino che con questo film raggiunge la piena consacrazione dopo il successo in patria di Nikita. Il film ha riscosso notevole successo al botteghino finendo per entrare nella schiera dei film più amati. Non è di certo amato da una parte della critica che ha tacciato Besson
Léon la notte stessa pensa di disfarsi della ragazzina, ma non può contravvenire alla sua regola, per cui, confuso, ripone l'arma dopo averla puntata alla testa di Mathilda dormiente. Così inizia il rapporto tra i due, caratterizzato dall'incapacità di Léon a rapportarsi con una ragazza e dal desiderio di Mathilda di vendicare il fratellino.
