Laine Theatre Arts provides an exceptional training for anyone who wants a long career in professional musical theatre. Founded in 1974 in Epsom, Laine is simply one of the best international training colleges for performing arts.
Since its inception in 1962, Laine Theatre Arts has been dedicated to the fostering of creative talent. Among our alumni are some of the most highly regarded performers, teachers, choreographers, and director-choreographers in the world.
It is with regret that Laine Theatre Arts is unable to offer a place, in this next academic year 2022/23, to any applicant who does not hold a British passport or Settled Status. The college is shortly to apply for Office for Students (OfS) registration.

This one-year programme, validated by the University of Portsmouth, has been designed to enhance the skill set of students who have undertaken vocational training by encouraging them to find inspiration in research as they develop a critical vocabulary to think, plan and talk about musical theatre in depth.

The three-year, full-time Musical Theatre Diploma at Laine Theatre Arts offers an exciting, fast-paced training, in which students are nurtured to become creative, generous, and highly disciplined performers.
Students choose to specialise in either dance or musical theatre and will experience a mixed timetable of technical classes, workshops and rehearsal sessions, culminating in an end-of-week performance.
