Laura Pausini nasce il 16 maggio 1974 a Faenza, in provincia di Ravenna, e cresce a Solarolo. È la primogenita del cantante di pianobar Fabrizio Pausini (insieme a Renzo Casadio nel duo chiamato Les Copains Music Show) e della maestra d'asilo Gianna Ballardini, e ha una sorella minore di nome Silvia (nata il 25 gennaio 1977).

She rose to fame in 1993, winning the newcomer artists' section of the 43rd Sanremo Music Festival with her debut single " La solitudine ", [1] which became an Italian standard and an international hit.
