30 nov 2023 · Before joining the cast of X-Men, Wolverine had only one appearance in The Incredible Hulk #181 (by Len Wein, Herb Trimpe, Jack Abel, Glynis Wein, and Artie Simek). Wein wrote Giant-Size X-Men and was the editor for the beginning of Claremont's run on Uncanny X-Men, so he certainly played a role in the character's early days, but Claremont was the writer.
