Lina Wertmüller, vero nome Arcangela Felice Assunta Wertmüller (Roma, 14 agosto 1928 – Roma, 9 dicembre 2021), è stata una regista, sceneggiatrice e scrittrice italiana. È stata la prima donna nella storia a essere candidata all'Oscar come migliore regista [2] , per il film Pasqualino Settebellezze , nella cerimonia del 1977 [3] .

She is best known for her 1970s art house films Seven Beauties, The Seduction of Mimi, Love and Anarchy, and Swept Away.
