Llywelyn II ap Gruffydd, noto anche come Llywelyn l'Ultimo (in gallese Llywelyn Ein Llyw Olaf, lett. "Llywelyn, Nostro Ultimo Signore"; Principato del Galles 1222 – Aberedw , 11 dicembre 1282 ), fu Re del Gwynedd dal 1246 alla morte come Llywelyn III e Principe del Galles dal 1258 alla morte.

Gruffydd ap Llywelyn ap Iorwerth ( Gwynedd, 1196 ca. – Torre di Londra, 1º marzo 1244) è stato un nobile gallese figlio primogenito ma illegittimo del Principe del Galles e Re del Gwynedd Llywelyn il Grande; è il padre del Re del Gwynedd Owain il Rosso e dei Principi del Galles Llywelyn l'Ultimo e Dafydd II .
12 giu 2023 · Gruffydd died in 1244 trying to escape from the Tower of London by tying sheets together to climb out of his cell window. The makeshift rope broke, and Gruffydd fell to his death. The window he used was bricked up, but can still be made out today.
