Loop The Cool was written as a long line with him in mind. I had seen Regina Carter on a video from the Montreux Festival and was immediately impressed. I began hearing tenor and violin together as a unique timbral blend to work with. The second part of Loop The Cool was inspired by the sound of Reginas violin.
