Biografia. Cecilia nacque a Londra [1], figlia maggiore del reverendo Charles Cavendish-Bentinck (nipote del primo ministro inglese William Henry Cavendish-Bentinck, III duca di Portland) e di sua moglie, Louisa Burnaby.
