Il giovane attore di Poldarkè nato nel 1985 in Inghilterra. E’ cresciuto nella zona di Romford e per questo si dichiara un “fiero ragazzo dell’Essex”.
Grazie a un insegnante che ha finanziato la sua prima audizione, Luke Norris si è unito al National Youth Theatre e successivamente si è iscritto alla Central School of Speech and Drama, dove nel 2008 ha vinto una borsa di studio.
Grazie alla partecipazione al period drama Poldark, l’attore inglese si è innamorato della Cornovaglia. Su questo luogo, Luke Norris ha dichiarato:
Luke Norris ha sposato l’attrice Joanna Horton, che ha incontrato in Days of Significancealla Royal Shakespeare Company ed è padre di due bambine.
Il protagonista di Poldarknon è solo un attore, è anche un noto drammaturgo. Luke Norris ha infatti iniziato a scrivere da adolescente come secondo hobby per buttarcisi a capo fitto nel caso in cui la carriera di attore fosse decollata.
Il successo della serie TVPoldark è stato per lui una sorpresa. In un’intervista a Express.co.uk, l’attore ha infatti dichiarato:
Prima che nascessero le sue due figlie, né Luke né sua moglie Joanna hanno voluto sapere prima il sesso.
Il ruolo di Dwight in Poldark è stato il primo ruolo televisivo importante per Luke Norris. Sebbene l’attore inglese abbia partecipato ad altre serie TV e film per la televisione, come Our World War, The Inb Betweeners, The Duchess e Skins, il period drama Poldarkè indubbiamente lo show televisivo che gli ha dato più successo.
Durante un’intervista a Radio Times, l’attore ha confessato di esser stato terrorizzato dall’idea di poter avere un figlio maschio perché sarebbe diventato un modello maschile per lui.
