The record also featured cameos by Mark Slaughter, who'd gained notiriety in the metal circuit with Slaughter and The Vinnie Vincent Invasion, and Dave Allen and Scott Adair. It also featured "Cry Myself To Sleep", a Mutt Lange co-written track, as well as "Two Lips", penned by MacLeod with Mike Reno and Scott Smith of Loverboy.

Magnet To Steele really was the brainchild of Headpins founder Brian MacLeod, who produced, played and wrote the vast majority of songs found here. Sadly this would be his final release, as MacLeod succumbed to cancer at the age 39. Steele is rumored to be working on another album in the future, but in the meantime I give this record two thumbs up!
A Seguire, il lentone "Love Don't Last Forever", nelle cui background vocals troviamo un certo Mark Slaughter (sicuramente se l'è fatta, ci scommetto!), una ballad sicuramente carina alla Scorpions, ma che non aggiunge nulla di chè.
11 apr 2022 · Despite his medical condition, MacLeod still managed to put his indelible mark on the project, when Chrysalis released MAGNET TO STEELE in the summer of '91. As well as playing all guitars and bass, background vocals, and producing the album, he shared engineering and programming duties with Matteo Caratazollo ( Headpins touring keyboardist) and Edmonton native Tim Feehan .
