Biografia. Magnus era il secondogenito di Alberto II di Meclemburgo e della moglie Eufemia di Svezia e Norvegia. Alla morte del fratello Enrico III, nel 1383, gli succedette nel governo del ducato insieme al nipote Alberto . Vita privata. Magnus sposò Elisabetta di Pomerania-Wolgast, figlia di Vratislao VI di Pomerania-Wolgast.
