The Manchester School of Theatre (originally the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre) is a tertiary school of theatre, drama and performance situated in the city of Manchester, founded in 1970. Manchester. Features and benefits. The course is based in our Grosvenor East building, which features movement and performance studios, TV and radio studios and a 180-seat theatre. Strong focus on cutting edge practices in contemporary performance and dramatic theatre.

A fully equipped flexible theatre space that seats 180 audience members, the new School of Theatre auditorium is capable of multiple configurations: thrust, flat floor and in the round. Grosvenor East also offers light-filled, double-height studio spaces for teaching and rehearsals.
