Margaret (Margarita) Chant-Papandreou (born September 30, 1923) is a Greek-American activist, second wife of Andreas Papandreou (1919–1996) and mother of George Papandreou.

In 1948, he entered into a relationship with University of Minnesota journalism student Margaret Chant. After Chant obtained a divorce, and after his own divorce from his first wife Christina Rasia, Papandreou and Chant were married in 1951.
