Margrethe Pape (1620–1684) was a Danish royal mistress. She was the mistress of King Frederick III of Denmark and the mother of Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve. Margrethe Pape became the lover of Frederick of Denmark prior to his marriage and succession to the throne.
Margrethe Pape (o. 1618 – 1686 eller senere i Christiania) var en dansk kvinde, der bl.a. var frille til kong Frederik III af Danmark, med hvem hun fik sønnen Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve . Livsforløb. Margrethe Pape kendte i 1637 prins Frederik (fra 1648 kong Frederik III af Danmark) i dennes tid som verdslig ærkebiskop i Bremen-Verden.

Fu un figlio naturale che il Federico III di Danimarca, re di Danimarca e Norvegia, ebbe dall'amante Margrethe Pape prima del matrimonio. Nel 1657 divenne ufficiale e si distinse durante la Seconda guerra del nord.

His mother was Margrethe Pape, (1620–1684) who was made Baronesse of Løvendal by King Christian IV on September 15 that same year. When his father became King of Denmark-Norway in 1648, Ulrik Frederik assumed the surname Gyldenløve which was used by illegitimate sons of Danish kings.
At the same time, however, they were excluded from line of succession, and thus had no dynastic ambitions, making them extremely loyal to the reigning king. Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve was the issue of a relationship Frederik (III) had with Margrethe Pape, before he married Sophie Amalie in 1643.
