Maria Grey Training College was a training college in London, England, for teachers from 1878 to 1976. When it opened, it was the first teacher training college for women in Great Britain. It was named for Maria Georgina Grey , a promoter of women's education and a founder of the organisation that became the Girls' Day School Trust .
The Maria Grey College Archives contains the records of the college from its origins in 1876 to its incorporation to form the West London Institute of Higher Education in 1976.

The archives and special collections team have received a blazer, tie and photographs from a time when the donor’s great aunt attended the Maria Grey, Women’s Teacher Training College between 1940-41.
In 1885 the college was renamed The Maria Grey Training College for Women. In 1976 the college merged with Borough Road College to form the West London Institute of Higher Education , which is now part of Brunel University .

Maria Grey, who had opened the first teacher training college for women in 1878 on premises lent to her rent-free in Bishopsgate, now incorporated kindergarten training into her college, which moved to Fitzroy Street, Fitzroy Square, in 1883 (Maria Grey, letter to The Times, 19 July 1890)
