Mary Watson, née Morstan, is the wife of Dr. Watson. She is first introduced in The Sign of the Four , where she and Watson tentatively become attracted to each other, but only when the case is resolved is he able to propose to her.
Although the title is Mary Marston, who is the central character entwined in the lives of the couples, her romance comes late and is not heavily written about. Instead, the author focuses on Letty and Tom, and Hesper and Mr. Redmain.
