Masseba is a Czech science fiction film directed by Miloš Zábranský. It is a parable set in a post-apocalyptic world. [1] [2] The film was created towards the end of the communist regime, but it was not shown in cinemas until after the Velvet Revolution, which ultimately damaged the film. [3]

An allegorical science fiction film about the communist regime.
That was very much the case with this film based on a story idea and script by Miroslav Vaic. Though made in 1989, Masseba only found its way to audiences in the subsequent era of “free” distribution.
Masseba plot. A small community of people mainly live within the bare walls of a large building and spend their time praying, making music, eating and sex. Arguments are also bound to happen when the community leader sets his eye on the attractive girlfriend of one of his followers.
