Meerkat Manor: Created by Caroline Hawkins. With Bill Nighy, Flower the Meerkat, Mozart the Meerkat, Zaphod the Meerkat. This is a documentary drama series which follows a meerkat family in the Kalahari Desert, South Africa, called the Whiskers.

In 2021, Meerkat Manor returned to British TV screens with a new series subtitled onscreen as Rise of the Dynasty (as Channel 5 listed the programme just as Meerkat Manor). The 13-part series was again narrated by Nighy, and was shown by Channel 5 [5] [6] every weekday in the 6.30pm slot usually featuring quiz show Eggheads , with the last episode going out on Wednesday 15 December 2021. Meerkat Manor: Rise of the Dynasty is a captivating series about the natural world and I appreciate its educational value. The message of this series is about teamwork. Of course, family, culture and perseverance are worth mentioning here also; however, if this species didn't have a system of working together, they could not thrive within their harsh ecosystem.
