The male protagonist casts a spell on a person who he thinks is a boy while the person is assaulting him so that the person will "love him." The person begins passionately kissing him and the protagonist pushes the person off him and discovers the person is a girl. Several more scenes of passionate kissing ensues through the rest of the film.

"Merlin's Apprentice" has competent cinematography, good lighting, decent editing, competent sound, and a lot of other qualities that are too often overlooked in recent films. The script and direction, however, leave a lot to be desired. The story itself really does seem to have come from an after-school special.
