The couple who had been renting a room from Dudley in his Burien home were said by prosecutors to have gotten in an argument over unpaid rent.

7 apr 2023 · Fri, 04/07/2023. Michael Lee Dudley, who was convicted of the second degree murders of Jessica Lewis and Austin Wenner in December was sentenced today to more than 40 years in prison, specifically 560 months. Dudley who is 64 will spend the rest of his life in prison.
25 ago 2020 · Per court documents obtained by local CBS affiliate KIRO, 62-year-old Dudley was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder late last week. His bail was set at $5 million. Dudley was previously the couple’s landlord and he admittedly argued with the victims over back-due rent.
